Behind the Grain: KAMUT® Pasta

We take great pride in making our meals from scratch from hand picking every ingredient we use, to making our meals with only ingredients you would find in your own kitchen. One thing you may not know is that we even make ourKamut Pasta 1 own pasta. You can find our pasta in meals such as our Meat Lasagna and Baked Ziti with Meatballs. However, we didn’t just stop with making our own pasta, we decided some time ago to start to explore the making of KAMUT® wheat pasta.

The reason we started to explore making KAMUT® pasta was because of the many additional nutritional benefits that comes from this ancient grain.  This type of grain is great for those with modern wheat sensitivities as well as for athletes or those looking for a more rich nutrient pasta as it has 10g of protein and 5g of fiber per 2 oz. serving.  This type of pasta also helps promote a higher energy production than consuming “modern” what due to its high mineral amino acid content.

We are excited to bring our KAMUT® pasta in the dry pasta section at select Whole Foods as well as now offering ordering online thru Amazon. It is a great and healthy meal that you can pair with your favorite sauce or you can pair it with our meal starts such as our Chicken Piccata.  You can also find all of our Natural line meals made with our KAMUT® pasta such as our Vegetable Lasagna and Chicken Parmesan. The four kinds of KAMUT® pasta we currently make are Spaghetti, Fettuccine, Elbow, and Penne.
